Admission Policies & Eligibility Criteria

The DCS was established to enable Indian children to study under the International system of education. While DCS admissions policy reflects this mandate, our mission statement underscores our belief that a culturally diverse student body enriches the life of the school.

For any student to obtain Admission to DCS the Administration must be satisfied that:

  • The student has a successful history of academic performance and appropriate personal conduct.
  • Any special needs of the student, including physical and/or learning disabilities, and development of English language skills can be met by DCS.
  • The student would be eligible to graduate before his or her twentieth birthday.
  • Providing all of the above admission criteria are met, seats are held for residents of J&K or other Disaster affected areas and for children of Defence & Law enforcement Personnel families, even as the school moves to full capacity.
